2025年11月2日に自身9本目のfirst authorかつimpact factor付英語論文がacceptされました。
2025年4月16日… 日記には奇しくも父の五回忌となる4月16日に”START YOUR ENGINE!”とあるので、論文草稿を書き始めたはず… 。博多のリウマチ学会、東京の日整会会期中も夕方からホテルに籠って論文を書きまくっていた記憶があります。妻・子供達を放っぱらかしてばかりの申し訳ない日々が続く… (塾の送迎は頑張りました)。
5月31日… いろいろ悩んで投稿先をEFASのFoot Ankle Surg (impact factor 2.0)にロックオン。肝いりの論文のため、今回ばかりはチト自信あり。
6月3日… 論文校正に依頼、4,819 wordsで￥34,455也(自腹)。
6月12日… Submitted to Journal 同日にmanuscript number “FAS-D-25-00272″をいただきWith Editorとなる。無事にdesk rejectの第1関門を突破。
6月22日… Under Review (1) Review invitations accepted: 1人目。
6月28日… Under Review (2) Review invitations accepted: 2人目。
7月20日… Review completed (1) Reviewer #1の査読完了?
8月10日… Require Reviews Completed Reviewer #2の査読完了?
8月11日… Review Complete 担当Editorによる査読評価完了?

8月15日… Revise Reviewer #1/Reviewer #2とも3つずつ、合計6つのコメントの超minor revisionで助かる。査読ガチャは当たりか(笑)? Submission to decision after reviewは64日。

8月20日… Revision Submitted to Journal 再投稿後いきなりWith Editorとなる。丁寧に完璧に返答、修正したつもりだったので楽勝と思いきや… 。
9月11日… Under Review なんと散々待たされて再査読に回された(驚!)。
9月12日… Reviews Completed
10月14日… Author query Editorial Managerのstatusが延々とUnder Reviewの状態だったので、遂に我慢できず催促のメールを送信しちゃいました。

11月3日… Accept 現地時間は2 Nov 2025のようだ。Sumission to acceptanceは143日と標準的でした。

11月4日… Rights and Access/Offprint Order 人生最後の英語論文かもしれないので、三度open accessを選択。JPY 533,330(net) + 53,333(tax) = 586,663(total)でした。2017年に同じElsevierでOriginal articleをopen accessにした際は25.1万円だったので、数年で倍以上になっていてびっくり! 普段問題なく使っているVISAのクレカ払いが上手く行かず(某joyca)、日整会のVISAカードで1時間近くかかって支払いを終える。
11月4日… Published Online 早っ! Pre-proofがScienceDirectで見れるようになりました。長年の努力が報われた瞬間です。やっぱ論文は世界中の人に読んでもらわないと… 。
11月5日… Proofs available Elsevierさんマジで仕事が早いんだが… 。次から次へとメールが送られてきてacceptされた日からメール対応で寝不足が続く。おまけに私がやらかした複数のtypographical errorも何事もなかったように修正されている。おかげで修正なしで返信できちゃいました。
